1. You have not created any Google Ads account yet or you are new into it:


To use Google Keyword Planner you must create a Google Ads Account. You can just create one by clicking here.

Once You have signed in a new dialog box will open up and you need to choose a new Google Ads Account.

Now, a page will open up stating your main advertising goal. You need not choose any of the options. Just scroll down and you will notice "Are you a professional marketer? Switch to expert mode". Click on Switch to expert mode.


Now, it will tell you to select the goal that will make this campaign successful to you. Just leave that directly come to the bottom left corner and you will notice "Create an account without a campaign" Click that.


Now you need to confirm your business information like billing country, timezone, and currency and finally submit it.


Now just click on "Explore Your Campaign".


So your Google Ads account is created without a campaign and you are eligible to use different tools like Performance Planner, Keyword Planner, Reach Planner, etc.

To use Keyword Planner simply click on tools and settings on the top right corner.
From the dialog box, choose Keyword Planner.

2. You tried to use Google Keyword Planner and ends up creating an ad campaign and getting stuck:


If you got stuck in the payment information page or in between creating the campaign don't worry, it is very easy to fix.

You need to delete the campaign that you made in your Google Ads account. To delete the campaign just click on your Google Account and you will see the active campaigns, just delete it.


As soon as you delete the campaigns it will automatically log you out, so you need to log in again, and as you log in you will get a fresh account. Then you can follow the first part of the article to use Google Keyword Planner without creating an ad in 2020.

3. How to use Google Keyword Planner:


To use the Google Keyword Planner you need to click on Discover new keywords.



Now enter any desired keyword to look for its monthly searches, Competition, CPC, and lot more.
Suppose, my keyword is 'backlink' so I enter 'backlink' and click on 'Get Results' to check all the results.
